Founded in 2023, Raves & Associates specializes in helping contractors and construction companies protect what they have built through commercial insurance, employee benefits, and risk management solutions.
What sets Raves & Associates apart is its practical approach to construction risk. Beyond traditional insurance placement, we help contractors identify exposures, evaluate coverage needs, and develop strategies designed around their operations, workforce, contracts, and long-term goals.
Through risk management consulting and ongoing support, contractors gain a partner who understands the challenges of running a construction business and provides guidance to help improve decision-making, reduce uncertainty, and strengthen business resilience.

About Us
Matt Raves brings a unique combination of insurance, construction, and business experience to his work with contractors. He began his career in the property and casualty insurance industry after college, serving as a Property Casualty Underwriter and Workers’ Compensation Program Manager for a large risk management organization. He later gained experience in financial services, working with individuals and business owners to analyze goals, evaluate challenges, and make informed decisions.
Matt also gained firsthand construction experience managing projects for residential developers and commercial contractors. These roles provided direct insight into the operational challenges contractors face every day, including project execution, subcontractor management, workforce issues, and business performance. This experience gives him a practical understanding of contractor risk from the ground up.
This combination of insurance knowledge, construction experience, and business insight allows Matt to provide commercial insurance and risk management guidance specifically tailored to contractors. Raves & Associates specializes in working with contractors and construction companies to help protect their businesses, employees, and assets.
Matt lives with his wife, Selene, their twin daughters, and a small zoo of well-loved pets. Outside of work, he and his family enjoy staying active, spending time outdoors, and training at the gym. Matt is also a dedicated martial artist and enjoys the discipline and challenge of training. When he’s not on the mats, you can usually find him playing guitar and enjoying time with family.

Outside the office, Olivia enjoys jogging, exploring new foods, and spending time with her two dogs: Marshmallow and Koda. Her blend of discipline, curiosity, and warmth makes her an essential part of the company’s culture and success.
