Matt Raves brings a unique blend of experience in insurance, finance, and construction management to his work with contractors. He began his career in the property and casualty insurance industry immediately after college, serving as a Property Casualty Underwriter and Workers’ Compensation Program Manager at a large risk management pool. He later transitioned to the financial services industry, where he worked as a Financial Consultant providing comprehensive financial strategies for individuals and businesses.

Matt has acted as a Project Manager for residential tract home developers and commercial contractors. These roles gave him firsthand insight into the operations, safety concerns, and logistical challenges faced by contractors. He has developed safety programs, improved field efficiency, and implemented operational improvements, giving him a practical understanding of contractors' risk from the ground up.

This combination of construction, finance, and insurance experience allows Matt to provide expert risk management and insurance advice specifically tailored to contractors. Matt solely works with contractors in California but is based in Austin, Texas, where he lives with his wife Selene, twin daughters, and their pets. Outside of work, Matt and his family enjoy being active at the gym and spending time outdoors.
