Matt Raves brings a unique blend of experience in insurance, finance, and construction management to his work with contractors. He began his career in the property and casualty insurance industry immediately after college, serving as a Property Casualty Underwriter and Workers’ Compensation Program Manager at a large risk management pool. He later transitioned to the financial services industry, where he worked as a Financial Consultant providing comprehensive financial strategies for individuals and businesses.

Matt has acted as a Project Manager for residential tract home developers and commercial contractors. These roles gave him firsthand insight into the operations, safety concerns, and logistical challenges faced by contractors. He has developed safety programs, improved field efficiency, and implemented operational improvements, giving him a practical understanding of contractors' risk from the ground up.

This combination of construction, finance, and insurance experience allows Matt to provide expert risk management and insurance advice specifically tailored to contractors. Matt primarily works with contractors in California but has select clients in Texas and Michigan.

Matt lives with his wife, Selene, their twin daughters, and a small zoo of well-loved pets. Outside of work, he and his family enjoy staying active, spending time outdoors, and training at the gym. Matt is also a dedicated martial artist, practicing: Lethwei, Goju-Ryu Karate, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Pekiti-Tirsia Kali. When he’s not on the mats, you can usually find him with a guitar in hand, shredding along to his favorite ’80s metal.
